i want some feeeeed back!!! just tell me your thoughts. there's no right or wrong answer to this one!!!
this is written off of one of my journals:
i just kinda realized the value of life. it's such an amazing gift. it's almost unbelievable. and we all take it for granted so much. i hate it. because that's so easy to do! but it was given to us to take and love to the fullest! and use it to its best advantage:] so many minutes and seconds pass us by each day and we don't seem to fully understand that each of those could be our last. its a really scary thought and it makes you want to go out there and just be a simple and happy person. to be reminded of death is something most of us don't enjoy at all. it brings fear into our minds...but why?!
is it because we know that weve made some bad choices in life?
because we know we aren't the best human we can be?
...maybe it's because we all know that there actually IS something that comes after life....huh?
think about it.

If we are created in the image of God, who is "life" and we innately know we are created to be "alive" whether we conciously think about it 24/7 or not, then we know innately that "death" is the opposite of what we were created for. As someone said, "Man was not created for death and corruption". There is no such thing as a "natural death". ALL death is unnatural and when we see it we know something is very very wrong even if we don't know exactly what. We fear death because it is involuntary and "permanent" separation, not like deciding to break up just because.... It happens TO us usually and it happens no matter how happy or sad or involved or loving we are. We might be able to postpone it with doctors sometimes but it always happens and we can't get back all the things we missed in life. If you have no faith in God then this life is all there is and there is no hope for anything but what good times you can have here. If we know ultimately love conquers death then we need to understand what real love is, not the cheap substitutes, so we can die with no regrets, no fears, and prepared for what REAL love and REAL life is in God who is Love and who is our life. It is not about fear of being punished, it is like preparing for our wedding...we keep ourselves for our beloved only so we can enjoy our marriage to the fullest, and true love for one person means we reject a lot of other relationships and things we COULD do for the sake of the one we love. Death is the loss of life and love unless we know that life and love are beyond death and a lot of people don't really think much about it. If we lived every day conciously knowing we are going to die, we'd probably make a lot of different decisions.
